Things have certainly been kept hopping in the search engine optimization industry as Google, the Internets premier search engine and general overlord, maintains a running stream of algorithm changes endearingly represented by cute wildlife creatures. The most recent update has website owners and webmasters minding 53 changes to the algorithm. Ok…i have found more information about my friends who are buying a house. Her credit score is 585 and she was wondering how hard it is goin to be for a home loan. I would say impossible, but things are getting a little better these days.

The current rule of thumb is 650 for loan approval.

I would be shocked if anyone with a score below 600 has received a new mortgage loan anywhere in the US at any time in 2009.

If she is interested, she should explore. It can’t hurt, but she must be realistic. She will likely need at least $ 45,000 in income, no credit card debt, and a score of at least 620 to get pre-approved for a loan of $ 120,000.

She will not get a loan for more than 97% of the value of the house and she will have to demonstrate that she has some savings (probably at least 3% of the loan value).
